Classical Guitar Concert by Davide Sciacca
Saturday 22nd July 6.30pm
Tickets were £5 on the door and online through Eventbrite
The performance began at 6.30pm after a torrential rain storm, which severely hampered the event. Davide was not happy to play through the PA system set up for him under a canopy on the stage. He decided to play acoustically in front of the bell tower of the church, which was fine until the cathedral started ringing their incredibly loud bells, which in addition to a large number of seagulls in fine voice drowned out the performance! We quickly mic'd up Davide's guitar which went some way to increasing the volume to an audible level over the background noise!!!
We operated a Fully Licensed bar from within the north vestry.
All in all we managed to make the first performance inside the Bombed Out Church in 2 years a success, despite much adversity.
